Are you a creative Senior Video Editor passionate about producing stunning visual content that showcases and elevates game development? We’re looking for someone who thrives on crafting cinematic and commercial-quality video content—from trailers and dev diaries to stylized teasers and in-engine cinematics. If you love bringing gameplay, narrative, and visuals together to create unforgettable video moments, we’d love to hear from you.
This role is for a freelancer who can work 1 week every 6 weeks/as and when needed.
Job requirements
Your Responsibilities:
Own the full video production pipeline—from initial concept and storyboarding to editing and final delivery—for promotional, marketing, and behind-the-scenes content.
Work directly within Unreal Engine to capture, sequence, and enhance real-time footage using in-engine cameras, lighting, and VFX.
Collaborate closely with Art, Design, and Marketing teams to communicate the visual tone, mechanics, and narrative of the game through video.
Edit high-quality trailers, sizzle reels, and development showcases that engage and excite players, publishers, and stakeholders.
Optimize captured footage for different platforms, formats, and marketing strategies.
Provide art direction for motion graphics and sound to ensure cohesion across all video content.
Support and review outsourced editing work, ensuring consistent visual fidelity and technical standards.
Take initiative to pitch creative video ideas and experiment with storytelling formats, pacing, and presentation techniques.
Your Profile:
5+ years of experience in video editing, motion design, or cinematic content creation, with a portfolio of stylized, gameplay-driven video work.
Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine for real-time cinematic capture, Sequencer, and scene setup.
Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent editing software.
Proven experience producing videos for game trailers, dev diaries, marketing campaigns, or similar.
Strong understanding of cinematic language—composition, pacing, lighting, camera movement, and sound design.
Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and a strong visual storytelling sense.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with motion graphics and 2D/3D animation.
Familiarity with color grading and LUTs for stylized visual presentation.
Understanding of audio design, voice-over integration, and music licensing.
